What you'll learn
Connect user needs, business goals and product constraints, then gather and synthesize evidence without fabricating personas or research findings.
Shape information architecture, navigation language, UX writing, user flows, wireframes and non-happy-path states before moving into polished UI.
Apply hierarchy, typography, spacing, color, grids and responsive behavior so interfaces remain clear across screen sizes and contexts.
Design feedback, validation, loading, errors, confirmations and recovery, then communicate behavior through purposeful prototypes.
Design with contrast, readability, focus, touch and error communication in mind, then test realistic tasks and iterate from observed evidence.
Build reusable components, document states and responsive rules, collaborate with engineering and review implementations for meaningful discrepancies.
Product Design toolkit & practice
Figma and FigJam support the work. The curriculum is built around research, structure, content, interaction, validation and collaboration rather than software collecting.

Practice progression
Product Thinking → UX Foundations → Research → Synthesis → Information Architecture → Content Design / UX Writing → User Flows → Wireframing → Visual UI → Responsive Design → Interaction Design → Prototyping → Accessibility → Usability Testing → Iteration → Design Systems → Engineering Handoff → Design QA → Product Evaluation → Professional Collaboration
Words are part of the interface. So are errors, empty states, edge cases and implementation details.
Practice framework
The public framework communicates capability and progression without publishing the internal week-by-week curriculum handbook.
Understand users, business goals, constraints and research questions; gather and synthesize evidence before proposing interface solutions.
Organise information, navigation, labels, UX writing, user flows and wireframes so the product makes sense before visual polish.
Apply visual hierarchy, responsive behavior, states, feedback, validation and prototypes to communicate how the product behaves.
Design inclusively, test realistic tasks, identify usability findings and iterate based on evidence rather than preference alone.
Use reusable components and design-system thinking, prepare implementation-ready handoff and collaborate with engineers through Design QA.
Connect design decisions to product evidence, document rationale, present case studies, respond to critique and use AI responsibly without fabricating evidence.
Choose your pathway
Both pathways teach the complete product-design process. The longer pathway adds depth in research, systems thinking, evaluation, collaboration and independent ownership rather than unrelated design tools.

Final Product Design Review
Present and defend the product problem, evidence, information architecture, content decisions, flows, responsive behavior, accessibility, prototype, usability findings, iterations, system decisions, handoff and implementation trade-offs.
Before applying, review the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Projects you'll design
Project briefs can vary, but the work should demonstrate problem framing, evidence, structure, interface craft, validation, iteration and implementation thinking—not only polished screens.
Design an end-to-end SaaS or operational workflow with real states, errors, decisions and responsive behavior.
Take a focused task from discovery through mobile interaction design, prototyping, testing and handoff.
Structure a journey across discovery, decision, transaction or application, status and support experiences.
Audit an existing experience, identify problems, test assumptions and document prioritised improvements.
Create reusable foundations, components, states and documentation at a depth appropriate to the pathway.
Present the problem, evidence, process, iterations, decisions, implementation considerations and learning clearly.
Content, accessibility & validation
Participants design for realistic use: clear language, understandable navigation, responsive states, accessible interactions, errors, recovery and evidence from usability testing.
Shape labels, navigation language, buttons, forms, instructions, validation, empty states, confirmations and onboarding for clarity.
Consider contrast, readability, text scaling, focus, keyboard interaction, touch targets, labels and error communication.
Define realistic tasks, observe behavior, identify findings, prioritise issues and iterate instead of relying on preference alone.
Ask what evidence would show improvement: task success, conversion, drop-off, errors, time-on-task, satisfaction and deeper signals where appropriate.
Professional collaboration
Present work, receive feedback, challenge assumptions and improve decisions without treating critique as personal preference.
Communicate spacing, responsive rules, states, interaction behavior, content, validation, errors, edge cases and assets.
Review implemented interfaces, identify meaningful discrepancies, collaborate on fixes and resolve practical engineering trade-offs.
Document research, decisions, flows, systems, findings, iterations and outcomes for handover and portfolio communication.
Internship Experience
Participants who meet readiness requirements progress into suitable supervised work involving product flows, UI/UX improvements, components, prototypes, research/testing, documentation or Design QA depending on demonstrated capability, suitability and availability.
Understand the product, users, constraints, design system, existing evidence, engineering context and documentation expectations.
Complete defined research, flow, interface, component, prototype, testing, content or documentation work with review and feedback.
Work through critique, requirements, engineering constraints, implementation questions, Design QA and iterative improvement.
Take responsibility for larger scoped product-design work as judgment, craft, communication and reliability develop.
Validate, document, present and hand over the assigned design work before final review.
What you'll leave with
Career Development
Strengthen how you present product-design work through resume review, LinkedIn guidance, portfolio/case-study guidance, project presentation, design interview preparation, mock interviews and feedback. Relevant opportunities may be shared where appropriate.
Eligibility & expectations
The track can support beginners and developing designers, subject to cohort entry expectations. What matters is willingness to research carefully, iterate, develop craft, accept critique, communicate decisions and take responsibility for progress.
Applicants must be aged 16–25 at submission. Ages 16–17 require guardian consent before enrollment.
Product Design — UI/UX FAQ
The Product Design — UI/UX track combines evidence, interface craft, validation and implementation collaboration within the wider HodoLabs Industry Training framework.
No. Figma and FigJam are the primary working tools, but the track focuses on product thinking, research, information architecture, content, flows, interaction design, responsive interfaces, testing, accessibility, systems, handoff and design QA. Tool skill supports the design process rather than replacing it.
The track can support beginners and developing designers, subject to cohort entry expectations. Participants should be prepared to research, think critically, iterate, accept critique, communicate decisions and develop visual and interaction craft through sustained practice.
Both pathways share the same product-design foundation. The 3-Month Program develops the capability to take a defined product problem through research, structure, interface design, prototyping, usability testing and handoff with structured guidance. The 6-Month Program goes deeper into research planning, complex flows, scalable component systems, accessibility, product evaluation, engineering collaboration, design QA and independent ownership.
Yes. Participants learn how interface language affects navigation, labels, calls to action, forms, validation, errors, empty states, confirmations and onboarding. Words are part of the interface.
Yes. Participants learn to define realistic tasks, observe users, identify findings, prioritise issues and iterate. The focus is on evidence from user behaviour rather than asking whether someone simply likes a design.
They are treated as design quality throughout the track. Participants work with contrast, hierarchy, text scaling, touch targets, focus and keyboard awareness, error communication, responsive behavior and platform constraints rather than treating accessibility or responsiveness as late-stage decoration.
Yes. The shorter pathway introduces reusable components, variants, consistency and basic tokens. The longer pathway goes deeper into component architecture, states, responsive behavior, accessibility requirements, documentation, governance and engineering alignment.
Participants learn that design responsibility can continue into implementation collaboration and Design QA: reviewing built interfaces, identifying discrepancies, resolving trade-offs with engineers and verifying important responsive, interaction, content and accessibility decisions.
AI may assist research planning, synthesis support, UX writing alternatives, critique, accessibility checks, exploration and documentation. It must not be used to fabricate interviews, user evidence or research findings. AI can assist your work. You must still understand your work.
The 3-Month Product Design — UI/UX program fee is ₹8,999 and the 6-Month program fee is ₹14,999. Internship Experience is included in the applicable program structure and is not charged separately.
